Rooms
at the Holland Inn
Here is a brief history of the two buildings
and pictures of all the rooms.
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
I am doing a big renovation and adding four new rooms for 2013.
MOST rooms will look different this spring. Please use the following photos as a guideline to the style and decor of my place. Feel free to call if you have questions at any time!

 |
There are five rooms in the main house.
This house was first opened as an inn, brand new in
1997. The
room names are derived from mountains and hikes on
the island.
You do not need to climb to the rooms.
This building houses the inns' common
areas. The living room, parlor, and sun porch each
offer ways to peruse maps, menus and local information.
The sun porch also offers a variety of games for your
enjoyment.
The
"at home" feeling of the house and bedrooms,
the innkeeper sharing local insight, and the joy and
surprise of a new and different gourmet breakfast
every morning really sets the Holland Inn apart. |
In
2002 the property was expanded across the backyard,
adding four brand new rooms, with the renovation of
what is called the Quietside Cottage. This house sits
just behind the main house with a big open yard and
nicely landscaped paths to take you between.
Most of the rooms in this house are
larger than the main house rooms and have significant
sitting areas, some with a balcony or private patio.
There are no common areas in the Quietside Cottage.
The nine light-filled rooms all have private baths with
modern amenities, A/C, and cable TV,
all with an inviting country decor. Wireless
internet access is available in all areas. |

Rooms In The Main House

Bubbles
|
|
Located on the second floor of the main house, the Bubbles is named after Bubbles
Mountain, which looms over Jordan Pond and the Teahouse. The
room has a built in queen bed (with access on only one side) and a
full bath. It is the smallest room at the inn; the guests love
the bed and romantic coziness.

Beehive
|
|
| The Beehive is my favorite
mountain hike and is also a favorite room, boasting
the original unique hardwood floors. Towering out of Sand Beach,
the Beehive offers a competitive climb along with unmatched
views of the beach and of Otter Cliffs bordering the Atlantic.
This room is in the main house on the first floor.
It has a queen size bed, with a private 3/4 bath (shower, no tub).

Precipice
|
|
|
Precipice
is the most challenging mountain hike on the island. Cliffs
climb straight up out of the Atlantic along Ocean Drive and
offer spectacular views. This room has five huge windows overlooking
the front yard and Holland Ave. It has a queen size pencil
post bed, a sitting nook, full bath, and plenty of space to
stretch out. Truly a treat.

St.
Sauveur
|
 |
|
This corner room is on the second floor of the
main house. It has a queen size bed, full bath, and a bright
atmosphere. The room's namesake comes
from the mountain St. Sauveur located between Echo Lake and
Somes Sound. Here the hiker can find the treasures of Man-O-War
Brook and Valley Cove.

Beech
Cliff
|
|
|
Beech Cliff is a great room, being fully renovated in 2008. The room is the largest in the inn. There is a large bedroom and larger second sitting room with a love sofa, second tv, and DVD player. It has its own private enterance and staircase. Beech Cliff is a large three room suite, but is limited to only sleeping two people. It has a queen bed, private full bath and a half bath. There is one room with a desk and chair, and another room with a comfortable sitting area and second television. Also included are a mini fridge and coffee maker. Beech Cliff is a great hike located on the quiet side of the island. In the fall, there is a fire tower there that the Park opens for viewing foliage.
